International Language and Culture Fair

12:15 – 14:30 | E21A Outdoor Square

The Fair is consisted of culture-specific game booths to provide the audience with a learning-with-fun experience, perception of different languages and cultures, and an opportunity to taste traditional food from various parts of the world. UM students and teachers from different countries will be wearing their traditional costumes and perform on a runway.

*Light lunch will be offered to registered participants.

Cultural Activities and Language Workshops

13:30 – 18:00 | E21A G/F

More exciting activities are coming up after the Fair. Wanna learn some useful foreign words? Don’t miss the “Survival Japanese for Travelling Japan” and “Portuguese for Beginners”! Wanna peek into the Chinese language and culture? Join us in the “Kung Fu Workshop by Master Glenn” and “The Nine Tones of Cantonese”!  There are also the “UM Interpreting Contest”, an arena for young interpreters to showcase their talent, “Studying Abroad Experience”, where your fellow UM members share the fun and bitter moments of studying aboard, as well as movie time – “Lives of Portuguese Language“.
