Ana Maria SIMÃO SALDANHA

Living in Macau (Macao Special Administrative Region / People’s Republic of China) since January 2017, she is now Senior Instructor at University of Macau (UMAC). Between 2017 and 2022 she was Invited Associate Professor at Macao Polytechnic University (MPU). Holding a PhD degree in France awarded by Université Stendhal-Grenoble III (“Letters, Languages and Human Sciences”) and a PhD degree in Portugal awarded by Faculdade de Letras/Universidade de Lisboa (“Comparative Literature Studies”), she has made a three years post-doctoral research in Brazil (Sociology of Literature – FAPESP fellowship). She lived in France from 2003 until 2009 (and a half-year in 2012-2013), in Romania (2006), in French Guiana (from 2009 until 2012) and in Brazil (from 2012 until 2016). In France, she was Trainer of Languages, Translator/Interpreter and Lecturer (Université Stendhal – Grenoble III) and in French Guyana and in Brazil she was Assistant Professor (Université des Antilles et de la Guyane (UAG); Faculdade de Ciências e Letras de Araraquara (FCLAr)/Universidade Estadual de São Paulo (UNESP); Escola Nacional Florestan Fernandes (ENFF)). She has published several articles (about literature and society from Portuguese speaking countries; Latin America literature, society and political conjuncture; Chinese and Macanese literature), one book of chronicles and three books about Brazilian and Portuguese Literature and she is now working on a second post-doctoral research at Faculty of Letters/University of Porto.
