Ikebana Flower Art, the third activity in November provided by the English Language Centre, Faculty of Arts and Humanities was held on 23 November. To start with, English Language Teaching Assistant (ELTA) Melody introduced the concept and techniques of Ikebana to the participants. After choosing their favourite dried flowers, students worked in groups to exchange ideas and discuss their design before they arranged their flowers. At the end of the workshop, all participants voted for a winner with the best arranging skills and awarded her a gift. Throughout the workshop, students were engaged in learning flower arrangement techniques, English terms, as well as expressing their ideas in English.
