SUMMARY:FAH/DPHIL: The Mario Echano Prize for the Best Undergraduate Philosophy Essay
DESCRIPTION:The Mario Echano Prize for the Best Undergraduate Philosophy Essay is awarded for excellence in philosophy. Students enrolled in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies undergraduate courses are eligible to enter an essay for the annual award. \nStudents are invited to submit an academic essay written as an assignment in one of the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies’ undergraduate courses this academic year (AY2023/2024). Essays of any length are acceptable. The organisers reserve the right not to award the prize if essays are not of sufficiently high standard. \nPlease submit essays by e-mail with the subject line ‘Submission for the Mario Echano Prize’ to Maggie Wong at MaggieWong@um.edu.mo. Attach your essay to the message as a Microsoft Word document (other formats will not be accepted). Please give your name\, student number\, and the name of the course for which you wrote the essay\, on the first page of the essay. The deadline for submission is Friday\, 31st May 2024. \nWe look forward to your submissions.

SUMMARY:The 2nd Short Video Shooting Contest of Higher Education Institutions in China
DESCRIPTION:With the theme of “China in the eyes of the new generation”\, this contest aims to encourage students from Mainland China and Macao higher education institutions to tell the story of China and to show the development of contemporary China through creative short films from their own perspective. \n1. Organizers: Chinese-Portuguese Bilingual Teaching and Training Centre of the University of Macau\, School of International Studies of Communication University of China \n2. Eligibility:  \n\nParticipants\n\nUndergraduate and postgraduate students of the higher education institutions majoring in Portuguese in China;\nStudents can either participate as an individual or in a group of 3 members or less. Each contestant or group can only submit one application.\n\n\nVideo specification\n\nLength: 3-5 minutes;\nFormat: MPEG/MP4/MOV;\nTools: Any type of shooting equipment is welcome;\nResolution: 1280 x 720 (720p)\, up to 1920 x 1080 (1080p) is preferred;\nSubtitle: Bilingual in Portuguese and Chinese (Simplified/Traditional Chinese; European/Brazilian Portuguese);\nDubbing: Portuguese;\nAudio: Mono/Dual channel;\nSize: Depends on the video platform.\n\n\nSubmission\n\nSubmit your application from this weblink: https://umac.au1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_43lyFu9R4IvYILA;\nUpload the video to either YouTube or Bilibili\, select “unlisted” in visibility\, and make sure the video link is available;\nEach contestant/group is required to submit a short description of the video with about 150 words (in Chinese and Portuguese);\nSubmit the YouTube or Bilibili video link and the video description to the form provided by the organizers on or before the stated deadline.\n\n\n\n3. Evaluation: The organizers will form a review panel that will review all video submissions and selects one “1st Prize”\, two “2nd Prizes”\, three “3rd Prizes” and five “Merit Prizes”. \n5.
