SUMMARY:ELC-Spring 2025 i-Learner English for Universities Marathon Competition
DESCRIPTION:This semester\, the ELC is thrilled to present the i-Learner English Marathon Competition! Dive into as many lessons as you can by April 15\, 2025. \nTo join the contest\, students have to complete a minimum requirement of lessons with a score of 70% or above. Students from UE1 to UE3 must complete a minimum of 35 lessons\, while students from E4 to E5 must complete at least 20 lessons to enter the competition. The ELC will select one champion who achieves the highest completion regardless of the level. The champion will be awarded a grand prize worth up to MOP 1\,000. Meanwhile\, the top students at each level who have completed the most will also be awarded amazing prizes for their outstanding efforts. \nThe ELC is also hosting a writing competition for UE 1-3 students. Students should complete the course required lessons (25 lessons for UE1/2\, 12 lessons for UE3)\, and submit the writing assignment for the last lesson. Students with the highest writing scores at their levels will be awarded. \nAll winners will receive a certificate from the ELC. \nAll students enrolled in ELC courses in 2024/25 are automatically registered as i-Learner users. DESCRIPTION:Afternoon High Tea is a huge part of the traditional British culture. It is rich in history that began in the 19th-century Victorian Britain (Lin & Chang\, 2020). It comes with tea etiquette\, types of sandwiches\, cakes and delicate foods. SUMMARY:Fall 2024 i-Learner English for Universities Marathon Competition
DESCRIPTION:This semester\, the ELC is thrilled to present the i-Learner English Marathon Competition! Dive into as many lessons as you can by November 15\, 2024. \nTo join the contest\, students have to complete a minimum of 35 lessons with a score of 70% or above. The ELC will select one champion who achieves the highest completion regardless of the level. The champion will be awarded a grand cash prize of MOP 1\,000. Meanwhile\, the top three students at each level who have completed the most will also be awarded with cash prize\, ranging from MOP 500 to MOP 300\, for their outstanding efforts. \nThe ELC is also hosting a writing competition for UE 1-3 students. Students should complete the course required lessons (25 for UE1/2\, 12 for UE3)\, submit the writing assignment for the last lesson\, students with the highest writing score at their levels will be awarded with MOP 400 cash prize. \nAll winners will receive a certificate from the ELC. \nAll students enrolled in ELC courses in 2024/25 are automatically registered as i-Learner users. Students will first learn about the history of scones and the regional differences in the pronunciation of ‘scone’ that British people have always debated over. SUMMARY:Spring 2024 i-Learner English for Universities Marathon Competition
DESCRIPTION:Spring 2024 i-Learner English for Universities Marathon Competition \n春季i-Learner英語馬拉松競賽 \n  \nThis semester\, ELC is glad to introduce the i-Learner English for Universities Marathon Competition. The deadline for the competition is April 30.  \nTo join the contest\, students have to complete as many lessons as possible. The ELC will select one champion who achieves the highest completion regardless of the level. The champion will be awarded MOP 1000 in book and supermarket coupons. Meanwhile\, the top students at each level who have completed the most will be awarded for their exceptional efforts. For the writing competition\, the top students from UE 1-3 who have completed the writing task with the highest score will be awarded. The winners will also receive a certificate from the ELC. \n  \nAll students enrolled in ELC courses in 2023/24 are automatically registered as i-Learner users.
