Information about Edge Hill University
Edge Hill University is a campus-based public university situated in Ormskirk, Lancashire, England. The institution was opened on 24 January 1885 as Edge Hill College, the first non-denominational teacher training college for women in England, before admitting its first male students in 1959. In 2005, Edge Hill was granted Taught Degree Awarding Powers by the Privy Council and became Edge Hill University on 18 May 2006.
The university has three faculties: Arts and Sciences, Education, and Health and Social Care which teach at both undergraduate and post-graduate level. According to the facts and figure by EHU, there are 15,220 students in the university in 2017.
Edge Hill was named University of the Year in 2014 in the 10th annual Times Higher Education Awards. The University had been short-listed three times previously, 2007/8, 2010/11 and 2011/12 making it the only university to be short-listed four times in seven years.

Who can apply for this exchange programme?
All FAH Bachelor students with a GPA greater than 3.0 and FAH Master students with a GPA greater than 3.0 are eligible to apply. Bachelor candidates must have completed their first two years of study in UM by the start date of the exchange period.
Estimated Expenses for One-semester Exchange (subject to change)
You do not need to pay for the tuition fee at the Edge Hill University but you are liable to pay for the tuition fee at UM, and you are liable to meet all the expenses in connection to this exchange, such as but not limited to, air tickets, visa application fee, boarding fee, subsistence etc. For Master students, please refer to http://www.umac.mo/grs/en/tuition_fees.php for tuition fee to be paid during exchange. Below is a rough estimation for your reference.
According to the information provided by Edge Hill University, it is much cheaper to live in the North West of England than it is in the South East or London. The approximate cost per year for all living expenses including accommodation is £7,000-£8,000.

- Recommend to submit a certificate or official document of your English proficiency, i.e. IELTS scores (minimum score is 6) (result must be within recent 2 years)

Please note that all selected students have to apply visas on their own.
