Linnaeus-Palme Exchange Programme

Known as the Linnaeus-Palme Exchange Programme, the purpose of this exchange is to strengthen international links between Sweden and other countries around the globe. The Macau-Malmö exchange involves undergraduate students spending one semester with the other University, gaining experience of life and education in a different country. There are also shorter-term staff exchanges of around 3 weeks. The exchange was established by Prof Kit Kelen in Macau and Dr Björn Sundmark in Malmö, with a particular focus on exchanging ideas in the teaching and practice of Creative Writing, and research into Children’s Literature. The exchange is a productive way of developing joint research, teaching, and creative projects between Macau and Sweden. For more information about Malmö University, seehttp://www.mah.se/english/

Southern Illinois University at Carbondale Exchange Programme

Each year, the English Department sends up to four students to the Southern Illinois University (SIU) Exchange Programme for a one-semester period of full-time study. Credits earned at SIU are fully transferrable. Applications for this highly competitive but rewarding programme are usually accepted in April. The selection procedure includes a comprehensive test and interview and a review of general academic performance. Students who have been to SIU have consistently reported a very satisfactory experience.
