Dr. Carlos Figueiredo presents the Book of the Libolo Project at the Ceremonies of the International Day of the Portuguese Language and Culture Community of the Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP) in Beijing
Dr. Carlos Figueiredo, coordinator of the Libolo Project, was invited by the Embassy of the Republic of Angola in the People’s Republic of China to present the Book of the Project of Libolo Project on 5 May, during the ceremonies of the International Day of the Portuguese Language and Culture Community of the Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP) that took place in Beijing.
The Libolo Project is partially granted by the University of Macau and the book presentation took part in the official program of the celebrations.
The ceremonies were hosted by all the Ambassadors and all the Diplomatic Staff from all Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP) in People’s Republic of China, Portugal’s Finance Minister Dr. Mário Centeno, all the Deputies Secretary-Generals from the Permanent Secretariat of Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), the Representatives from the Association Macau-Angola, the representatives from the universities in China offering Portuguese Language Courses, the Chinese students awarded with the Tomás Pereira Prize, students from the Portuguese-speaking Countries studying in People’s Republic of China, and public in general. A total of 400 people attended the event.
Dr. Carlos Figueiredo felt really honored to represent the Republic of Angola in such an important event and also for having the opportunity to let people know more about his research work – only possible with the UMAC support.
