The Script Road-Macau Literary Festival: Meeting with Renowned Portuguese Language Writers and Writing Workshop

ACTIVITY INFORMATION

It is with great pleasure we announce the Department of Portuguese of FAH, in collaboration with the The Script Road-Macau Literary Festival, will host a meeting between students from our Bachelor in Portuguese Studies major and 4 renowned Portuguese language writers, specifically Rui ZinkLuís RuffatoLuís Patraquim and Paulo Franchetti.

The meeting will take place on March 09, 2016, at 10:00am, in room E21-G035.

All students are welcomed to attend!

Also, included in the Macau Literary Festival Activities, a Writing Workshop with writer Ricardo Adolfo, for Portuguese Studies major students who have registered , will take place on March 11, 2016, at 3:00pm, in room E21-1032.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

The Script Road – Macau Literary Festival was founded in 2012 by Ponto Final, a local newspaper. Today Ponto Final and the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Macau are joint organizers of the festival.

The festival is the first grand meeting of literates from China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries ever to be organized in the world. The Script Road is preparing its 5th edition, which will happen in March 2016 and will again bring to Macau renowned writers, publishers, translators, journalists, musicians, filmmakers and visual artists to the city.

The Script Road has the support of Macau Foundation, University of Macau (UM), Macau Pen Club; Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI), the Institute for Civic and Municipal Affairs (IACM), Macau Tourism Bureau, Macau Education and Youth Affairs Bureau(DSEJ), the Society of Arts and Letters, the Portuguese Oriental Institute (IPOR), the Orient Foundation, Macau Closer, the Portuguese Bookshop and Casa de Portugal, Rui Cunha Foundation, as well as other public and private entities.

By joining Macau Special Administrative Region’s annual calendar of events, The Script Road highlights, in the cultural sector, the desired understanding and cooperation between China and the Lusophone world, through Macau.
