Regulations for Local Students

Minimum age for application : 16 years old

LANGUAGE COURSES

TEACHING LEVELS:

Beginners – Introduction to the Portuguese Language (60 instruction hours, from Monday to Friday, mornings only). This level is only for students who never learned Portuguese.

Basic – Written and oral expression, grammar and conversation (60 instruction hours, from Monday to Friday, mornings only). For students who have achieved A2 level according to the Common European framework for languages (CEFR)

Intermediate – Development of written and oral expression, grammar, conversation and introduction to the culture of Portuguese speaking countries (60 instruction hours, from Monday to Friday, mornings only). For students who have achieved B1 level according to the Common European framework for languages (CEFR)

Advanced – Improvement of written and oral expression, grammar, conversation and culture of Portuguese speaking countries (60 instruction hours, from Monday to Friday, mornings only). For students who have achieved B2 level according to the Common European framework for languages (CEFR)

Superior – Improvement of the written and oral competence for professional and academic purposes (60 instruction hours, from Monday to Friday, mornings only). For students who have achieved C1 level according to the Common European framework for languages (CEFR)

Common European Framework of Reference for Languages

TRANSLATION COURSE

Development of the ability to translate written and oral texts from Chinese to Portuguese for professional purposes (60 instruction hours, from Monday to Friday, mornings only). For students who have achieved B2 level according to the Common European framework for languages (CEFR)

For all levels the course will also include several activities held outside the class schedule.

  

Schedule

. Language Classes and Translation Course:

– from Monday to Friday, from 8:30h to 13.00h

. Activities “Dance, Singing, Creative Writing and Fitness Activities”:

– Tuesday and Thursday from 15:00h to 17:00h

Visits to the Museums:

– Every Wednesday, from 15:00h to 17:00h

Assessment

Course Work – 60%

Final exam – 40%.

Students who successfully complete the program, will be awarded a Certificate.

ATTENDANCE

Students who skip more than 15 hours of class, will not be entitled to receive the Certificate.

FEES

MOP/HK$3,000.00 (three thousand patacas or HK dollars).

This fee includes lessons, didactic materials and administrative expenses.

Tuition Fee payment information will be made available at a later date, once application period is over.

 

DSEJ supports Macau Resident Students:

The Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEJ) supports the Summer Course by covering the course fees for 60 Macao resident students from Secondary Schools.

GAES supports Macau Resident Students:

The Tertiary Education Services Office (GAES) supports the Summer Course by covering the course fees for 30 Macao resident students from higher education institution who achieve the best result in the program. Students will receive the financial support on a reimbursement basis.

Students from schools or Universities of Macau who are not resident (without BIR):

After having received the confirmation of admission these candidates will pay the enrollment fee of MOP3,000.00 (three thousand patacas).

Cancellation Policy

If a student decides not to attend the course, the tuition fee will not be reimbursed.
