Introduction

Prof. Tang Kwok Kwong is an outstanding Confucian scholar specializing with prominent contribution to the field of Confucian Classics Learnings, literary theory and the study of Wen Xin Diao Long.

Earned a B.A. (1982) and Ph.D. (1990) in Chinese Literary study from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and The University of Hong Kong, and taught in the University of Macau from 1992 to present as professorship of Chinese Literary Study and the Confucian Thought specials.  During the serving period of 28 years he has provided tremendous efforts to keep a healthy development of the liberal and educational sectors as appointed as deanship of the UM.

As his prominent academic contribution, Prof.Tang  was invited as Distinguished Visiting Fellow of the Academia Sinica and the vice chairman of the International Association of Shangshu Studies. His main professional affiliations included as an reviewer of the L6 and L7 (MPHIL & PhD) of the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ), reviewer of the School Chinese Subject for the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau of Ministry of education of Macao SAR, reviewer of academic promotion of professorship for HK and Oversea Tertiary Educational and Research Institutes , and peer reviewer of journal papers on Chinese Studies. He is also an academic Consultant of The Kongzi Foundation of China, Honorary Professor of New Asia Institute of Advanced Chinese Studies and Yuelu Shuyuan of Hunan University, and  also the Nomination committee member of Tang Prize during past 4 years, Nomination committee member of  the Life Achievement Award for Global Chinese Studies.

Prof. Tang is also the first UM scholar winning the first prize of East China Classical Text publication  the Much of the research outputs has focused on the study of Chinese literary theory  and Confucian Classics, has also written on Gu Wen Writings and theory of the Mid Tang Dynasty to the Modern Period, Having written or edited dozens of books, articles, and anthologies in the field of Chinese Classics and Literary theory, especially Wen Xin Diao Long and  Gu Wen, including An Anthology of Master Tang Wen Zhi  (135 National Project, 2019 ) .  Wen Zhang Ti Tong  ( Shanghai Guji , 2013) ; A Study of the Key Concept of Wen Xin Diao Long  ( Shanghai Guji,  2012 ) ; The Meaning of Confucian Classics Learning (Shanghai Guji, 2011) ; The Way of Sage Kings ( Beijing Zhonghua, 2010) , and has completed the collection and systemically editing of the complete works of Master Tang Wen Zhi, which has been supported by the Central Government of PRC published in series by four stages, featuring Modern Chinese Academics of rediscover endeavor.
