Courses Regularly Taught

Prior to joining the English Language Centre, Michael taught several courses in the Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, Thammasat University: STEM English; Technical Writing I; Technical Writing II; Basic/Intermediate/Advanced English Listening and Speaking; Life Skills; Critical Thinking.

He taught several courses at Myungji College, Seoul, Korea: Basic Grammar; Workplace English for Retail Employees; Workplace English for Airline Personnel; Workplace English for Executives;  Business Communication; Drama English.

Introduction

Michael Lichtenstein earned B.A. and M.A. in Multi-disciplinary Studies from State University Of New York. His M.A. Program was developed for international educators teaching abroad..Michael has also completed Chiang Mai University’s TEFL certificate program/teaching practicum.

Michael coordinated the STEM English program at a Thai University from  2011-2017. His research in the past focused on the impact of technology- based ESL Lesson methodology.

He came to UMAC after working as an ESL University instructor for nearly two decades in countries such as South Korea and Thailand. During that time, Michael not only taught in the classroom but also served as an English teacher on major educational broadcasting channels in South Korea.
