The Creative Writing Workshop, organised by the English Language Centre, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, was successfully held on 15 October, 2018 (Monday). This workshop focused on essential techniques of creative writing, such as character development, setting, and creating tension.
During the workshop, students were asked to read a short story and analyse the effective writing style of John Cheever. Students were motivated to engage in the discussion with fellow writers. After that, each student had a chance to practice these techniques in a free write.
At the end of the workshop, participants provided positive feedback and were looking forward to more writing workshops.
