Dear Students,

Have you ever used memes to brighten up the days of your friends and yourself? To promote well-being and self-awareness in college studies, the English Language Centre is thrilled to launch a meme contest. To showcase your creativity and positivity towards college studies, you are invited to make a meme which is relevant to our overarching themes – positive messages about ‘Self’ and Learning in the University. The contest is divided into the following three stages:

* Submission: candidates will submit their meme on a qualtrics form (1 November- 20 November). Please submit your work here: https://umac.au1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5A0PEeZCzG0sFEy. Please note that only graphics (.jpg/.png) will be accepted.

* Selection: judges will select the best 4 pieces of creative memes.

* Recital event:  The winners will be awarded at the award ceremony on 1 December, 2021 (Wednesday)

Prizes are given to the top three candidates. At the same time, a vote on the Instagram page of EWCC will be held before the award ceremony, and the one who has made the most popular meme will be awarded as well. Prizes include vouchers from the book store. Additionally, the first 20 candidates who submit relevant meme creation will be given supermarket vouchers.

All UM students are welcome to participate. Please note that collaborative (pairs/groups) work will NOT be accepted.

All work must be submitted on/before November 20 (Saturday), much appreciated! We look forward to receiving all the great content.
