ELC Student Activity – Spring 2021 EWCC Academic Workshop: Written Communication in Business – How to Write a Complaint Letter
On 24 March 2021, the English Writing and Communication Centre (EWCC) successfully held an academic workshop “Written Communication in Business – How to Write a Complaint Letter”. In the workshop, students were introduced to the format, language, and content of a complaint letter. They actively engaged with the speaker, Wendy Wen, one of the EWCC consultants, who shared some useful tips and advice on how to make a complaint for a productive outcome. Students were guided through a complaint letter with step-by-step instructions and exercises.
On the whole, the workshop received positive feedback from the participants. A Year 4 student from FBA reflected that the workshop enhanced her understanding of how to make a formal complaint as a consumer. Another Year 1 student from FAH expressed that she would apply the writing skills to her future work. EWCC is happy to offer help and support to students for better English learning experience.
