ELC-EWCC WRITE-UP: Descriptive Writing Workshop

The ELC is thrilled to announce that the Writing Month workshop, “Descriptive Writing Workshop”, hosted by Ms. Carmen Lei was held successfully on 16 November 2022. 

The ELC welcomed the first ever Writing Month, themed “Write Now-Here’s How”, in November 2022, with a guest talk series and an ELTA workshop series. The second guest talk on “Descriptive Writing”, was held on 16 November. The ELC was honored to invite Ms. Carmen Lei, who is a secondary English teacher and famous writer in Macao. Ms. Carmen shared different forms of poetic writing to our students with many interesting examples.

The students were highly engaged in the workshop and fully expressed themselves through writing poems. In the process of the activities, students unleashed their creativity and shared their ideas with their peers. In addition, there was a follow-up task for students to practice the knowledge they had learned from Ms. Carmen.  

It was an interesting writing activity where our students could gain knowledge and, at the same time, enjoy themselves. The follow-up task also allowed students to revise and practice the knowledge they had learned.
