2024-10-14 @ 1:00 pm ~ 2:30 pm
Hey, students!
Are midterms making you feel stressed? Do you want to improve your writing?
The ELC-Writing Centre (EWCC) is here to support you this Fall 2024!
Join our Words Shape World Guest Talk Series (Writing Month) to advance your writing skill for different genres and for an exclusive opportunity to learn from renowned authors with impressive published works.
Kicking off the guest talk series is our amazing Ms. Sonia Leung, an award-winning poet and non-fiction writer from Hong Kong! Sonia has claimed top honours in prestigious competitions like Hong Kong’s Top Story 2015 & 2016 and Wordview 2023.
In her talk, themed “Self-Discovery: The Use of Binary Voices”, participants will delve into the transformative moments of life. You will have the chance to capture a memorable story, reflect on it from a “Me-Then” perspective, and then revisit it from a “Me-Now” stance. Together, we will slow down, savor these moments, and bring our thoughts to life through writing. In its follow-up competition about memoir writing, you may be the next winner to get the Starbucks Coffee Gift Card!
Don’t miss this inspiring experience to discover and express your unique voice.
- Date & Time: October 14 (Mon) 13:00-14:30
