FAH-ELC EWCC Student Activity Talk: “Debate and Negotiation in a Professional Setting” + Follow-up Competition

Speaker: Mr. Emanuel Roth Soares

This workshop will introduce the practice of negotiation and debate in a professional setting. Students may take away communication skills for having constructive verbal discussions in a variety of formal or professional settings.

There will be a follow-up competition which will give students an immediate platform to use their newly obtained knowledge in practice. Winning students will be awarded book coupons.

About the guest:

Emanuel Roth Soares earned his Bachelor’s degree in law at the University of Macau and is now a lawyer in MdME Lawyers. He is also the coordinator of MdME Venture. He is active in advising on and coordinating both local and cross-border M&A projects and local advisory work in relation to Hong Kong Stock Exchange Listings. Mr. Soares has experience in assisting Macau-based private equity funds in their structuring, operations and investments. He also works with government and private entities – including startup incubators and other support institutions – in providing ongoing pro bono support to local innovators and startup projects.
