Abstract: This presentation will provide a comprehensive overview of text-paratext symbiotic narratology, elucidating its concepts, narrative communication situations, and critical frameworks. The three autobiographies of Frederick Douglass, which are considered classics of American slave narratives, will be examined and analyzed through the lens of text-paratext symbiotic narratology, thus uncovering the unique role and significance of text-paratext symbiotic relation, and how it contributes to a deeper understanding and interpretation of textual works. Abstract Translation norms for legislative language constitute an essential part of the normalization of legislation. Non-normative expression of legal provisions imperils the quality of legislation, which further impacts the development of legal education, judicial practice and law enforcement. So far, China has come to noticeable fruition in the normalization of legislative language, but more efforts are in urgent needs with regard to the systematization and institutionalization of linguistic norms. Furthermore, few efforts have been devoted to establishing norms for the translation of legislative texts.
