Dear students,
There was a ‘Basketball English’ activity held by ELC last Friday, February 22nd. About twenty people participated in the activity. They learned about the basic terminology as well as skills of playing basketball, and had opportunities to have hands-on practice of the skills they learned from our international and local fellows. More specifically, they learned about some offense skills, such as layup, bank shot, and some defense skills, like setting a screen, screen left/right. In addition, participants were offered chances to speak English, since the activity was conducted in English, and they were encouraged to communicate with each other in English while playing basketball. Students had a great time together in learning basketball English terms and playing basketball！
