Initiated in AY2022/2023, the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH) has been offering a series of lectures on special topics to the students who are enrolled in the GE courses offered by FAH. Such lectures were conducted by senior professors from different disciplines of FAH and have created a unique platform for junior students to meet senior professors and encourages students’ interest in exploring more in-depth knowledge of the General Education (GE) programme.
The GE curriculum is meant to provide students with a foundation that promotes successful behaviour leading to lifelong learning. It prepares students to do well in their chosen career in the future. It can also expand the horizon of learning to help developing a well-rounded student.
As is known, FAH has been providing a variety of GE courses in the humanities in each semester. It brings a wide breadth of learning opportunities and knowledge to students that can be applied in everyday life. The core mission is to provide background and essential skills that students can later develop in their specialization.
