Professor Li Defeng
The Faculty of Arts is pleased to announce that Professor Li Defeng, Associate Dean and Distinguished Professor of Translation Studies, has been elected as a member of the European Academy of Sciences (Academia Europaea).
Established in 1988 and headquartered in London, the United Kingdom, the European Academy of Sciences (Academia Europaea, The Academy of Europe) was jointly initiated by national academies representing the highest academic standards in European countries, such as the Royal Society, under the joint advocacy of science ministers from multiple European nations. It serves as the “national academy of sciences” of the European Union and a legal scientific advisory body. The academy consists of 20 sections, covering a wide range of disciplines including humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and science and technology. It is one of the most influential international scientific organizations with extensive geographical and academic coverage, enjoying an extremely high academic status and far-reaching influence globally.
