How to Use LinkedIn for Job Hunting
On March 17, the English Writing and Communication Centre (EWCC) successfully held an academic workshop “How to Use LinkedIn for Job Hunting”. With the coming of application season, this workshop aimed to introduce LinkedIn as a powerful job hunting tool to help students grow and maximize their circles of influence. The speaker, Nicole Deng, one of the EWCC consultants, shared her experience as a LinkedIn user and demonstrated how to make good use of different functions on LinkedIn. Students learnt what to put on their LinkedIn profiles section-by-section through practice. Apart from that, they grasped some interpersonal skills via the LinkedIn social networking service. Students gave positive feedback on the workshop. EWCC will continue launching more events to support the UM community.
