EWCC Hosts “Crafting Your Personal Statement Workshop”
On October 21, the English Writing and Communication Centre hosted “Crafting Your Personal Statement Workshop”. The speaker, Christine Cheng, one of the EWCC tutors, shared tips on how to write an effective personal statement or essay that is important for the application to postgraduate studies. The attendees, including Year 3, 4 and Master’s students aiming to pursue further studies abroad, brainstormed ideas and outlined their interest, experience, goals, achievements, leadership skills and more. They gained insight on how to make their application stand out and get noticed by their dream schools.
