Published by Sebastian Press (Alhambra, California) in 2023, the first part of the book examines the aesthetics of Late Byzantine painting, while the second part examines the influence of the aesthetics of Late Byzantine painting on the 20th century abstract painting, therein focusing on the work of Vasily Kandinsky, Kazimir Malevich and Mark Rothko.
