From 3 to 23 October 2022, the Centre for Japanese Studies, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Macau held the fourth “Japan in Macau” Photo Contest.

The purpose of this contest is to promote students’ understanding of the current and historical relationship between Macau and Japan by focusing on the scenery in Macau. The contest received the cooperation of Macao Institute for Tourism Studies. Over 60 students from University of Macau and Macao Institute for Tourism Studies participated in this contest, which helped to foster the communication between the two universities.

The following 8 students were awarded the prizes, and 10 other students won special awards.

First Prize: ZENG Shiwen (Macao Institute for Tourism Studies), MAI Jiaming (Macao Institute for Tourism Studies)

Second Prize: YAN Ruofan (University of Macau),ZHU Siying (University of Macau),HUANG Wan (Macao Institute for Tourism Studies)

Third Prize: Mui Ut San (University of Macau),CHAN Ying (University of Macau),Ton Nu Kieu Trang (Macao Institute for Tourism Studies)

The Centre for Japanese Studies will continue to hold this contest, aiming to provide a chance to think and express their thoughts for the students who are interested in Macau-Japan relations.
