Are you ready to apply for a job? The English Co-Curricular Activities Committee (ECAC), with the facilitation of Mr. Alan Chan and Mr. Gennadiy Belotserkovskiy, ELC Instructors, organized the “See? We are ready to apply for a job!” workshop on 13 November 2024.

The workshop was divided into four parts to maximize learning, and to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of how to create their own CVs. In the first part, Mr. Chan explained what a CV is and its primary purpose. In the second part, students were divided into teams and participated in interactive games to learn about the elements that should and should not be included in a CV. The teams with the highest scores received prizes. In the third part, students applied their newly acquired knowledge by creating their own CVs in a fun and engaging way.  Each group was assisted by an ELC instructor to help them write their CVs following the template provided.  Further tips on refining their CVs by using appropriate language when applying for jobs were provided in the fourth part.

It was a great opportunity for students interested in creating their Curriculum Vitae for future job applications.  This workshop was highly beneficial for students preparing to apply for their first job, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to put together an effective CV.  This ensures their readiness in facing the next steps of the job application process.
