In this seminar, the speaker will present the historical periods of classical music in Portugal, as well as the main Portuguese composers by understanding and appreciating their works. In addition, the speaker will talk about the critical thinking about Portuguese history, art and culture, through the analysis of the status of Portuguese classical music in an European context.

Prof. Dai Bo is a young Chinese composer, pianist and harpsichordist. He obtained a Ph.D. in Composition from Beijing Central Conservatory of Music, where he is currently a Professor of Composition. He was also an art consultant for the project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences “Human, Art and Brain-Inspired Artificial Intelligence”, and the music director of CCTV’s “Multi-Young Science Night”.

1. Students who registered to the seminar, attend the WHOLE activity AND arrive ON TIME will be given 1.0 Smart Point and 20.0 Knowledge Integration(CS);
2. Students who arrive late or leave early within 10 minutes will be given only half a Smart Point;
3. Students who arrive late or leave early over 10 minutes will NOT be given any Smart Point;
4. Students who leave the venue during the activity for over 15 minutes will NOT be given any Smart Point; and
5. CPC reserves the right to make the final decision, in case of any disputes on the awarding of Smart Point(s).
