ABSTRACT

Translation Infrastructure for Assistive Technologies

People with disabilities face numerous obstacles in their daily lives routines.

For this reason, Assistive Technologies are bringing more independence to all disabled people using computers, smartphones, smart devices, sensors, etc. Nonetheless, there are still many challenges that we can address, considering people have different needs, cultures, and languages.

The seminar will address topics in research, design, and development of accessible information and communication technologies (ICT), from a translation infrastructure technologies perspective.

The seminars will cover all aspects of assistive technologies focusing on the translation infrastructure and how those areas are connected.
