Introduction
The Language Assessment Studies Research Group (LASR) works out of the Language Assessment Studies Research Room. It focuses on research related to large-scale assessment, classroom-based assessment, assessment literacy, and assessing young learners in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. The group specializes in quantitative data analysis using a variety of statistical techniques and software packages. The group hosts the Assessing World Languages Conference annually, presents papers and posters at international conferences, and publishes articles in top language assessment and applied linguistics journals.
Room facilities
The room is equipped with computer equipment needed to conduct advanced statistical analysis and present research findings. The room also features a growing library, a boardroom table for meetings, and student workstations.
