The Language Assessment Seminar Research (LASeR) Group works out of the Language Assessment Seminar Room. The group focuses on research related to large-scale assessment, assessment literacy, quantitative analysis, and assessing young learners in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. The group is now working on several projects, which include development of questionnaires and tests, data collection in several schools in Mainland China, Macau, Hong Kong, Taiwan and data analysis using SPSS v.24. The group has presented posters at international conferences. The group is currently planning the organization of the Assessing World Languages conference October 30 – November 2, 2018.
