新組建的澳門大學人文學院的藝術與設計系，其教師團隊由傑出的藝術史家和優秀的實踐藝術家組成，同時關注高端的藝術研究和前沿的藝術創造。其使命在於幫助學生進入人文和科學研究的前沿領域，進行與澳門在世界中的歷史文化地位相應的、融合中西與古今的藝術研究和藝術創造，並充分服務於社會。
