The English Co-curricular Activities Committee (ECAC) has recruited a group of UM students as Student Ambassadors, with the goal of fostering them into becoming future leaders through training and experiential learning.

To mark the establishment of the group, the ECAC held an Orientation Day on 23 February 2022 to establish a connection with the ambassadors and convey the core values and mission of the ECAC.  ELC Senior Instructor Mr Alan Chan and Teaching Fellow, Ms Angel Chan, started by introducing the duties and responsibilities of an Ambassador.  This was followed by a workshop hosted by ELC Senior Instructor Ms Vivian Chaplin on Teamwork and Communication Skills.  During the workshop, students watched a video and were prompted to reflect on scenarios requiring problem-solving skills in groups.  The importance of communication, cooperation, and support to make teamwork successful was highlighted. The orientation was concluded with an engaging game that needed students to apply their teamwork and communication skills to achieve their goals.
