The University of Macau (UM) Confucius Institute recently held a graduation ceremony for students from its Chinese language courses that was offered in the 1st Semester of Academic Year 2019/2020. A total of 81 students from over 20 different countries completed the courses students. Professor XU Jie, interim director of the institute and dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, awarded Best Student Award to 27 students, and Professor CHEN Zhong, deputy director of the institute awarded Perfect Attendance Award to 15 students.
The institute currently offers four level of courses at elementary I, elementary II and intermediate and advanced levels to non-Chinese speakers in Macao.
