Two faculty members and an alumna of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Macau (UM), received one second prize and two third prizes from the 15th International Conference on Applied Writing in Chinese.
The second prize went to Ma Wan Cham, a visiting senior instructor in the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, who shared the prize with Prof Wong Un In of the Macao Institute for Tourism Studies. The two third prizes went to Professor Emeritus Tang Keng Pan and UM alumna Tan Jingyi.
This year, for the first time, the conference involved both virtual and in-person elements. More than 150 experts and scholars from over 60 universities in Hong Kong and abroad presented more than 50 papers at the conference.
